1. Community Expectations and Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to foster a Christ-centered learning environment characterized by respect, humility, and accountability.
Respect for peers, faculty, staff, and ministry partners is mandatory, including differences in background, culture, or theological perspective.
Students are responsible for maintaining professional behavior in classrooms, online platforms, and ministry contexts.
Participation in class discussions, assignments, and group projects should reflect integrity, attentiveness, and a willingness to learn from others.
2. Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Policies
Academic honesty is a core principle. Students must submit original work and properly cite all sources according to the seminary’s citation standards.
Plagiarism, cheating, or unauthorized collaboration on assignments is strictly prohibited. Infractions will result in disciplinary action, which may include assignment failure, course failure, academic probation, or dismissal.
Students are encouraged to consult faculty when questions arise regarding proper research practices or citation methods.
3. Disciplinary Procedures
Alleged violations of the code of conduct, including academic dishonesty or unethical behavior, will be reviewed by the Academic Integrity Committee or designated faculty body.
Students will have an opportunity to respond to allegations and present evidence before a determination is made.
Sanctions will be proportional to the severity of the violation and may include warnings, probation, suspension, or expulsion.
4. Guidelines for Professional Conduct in Ministry
Students engaged in internships, fieldwork, or ministry placements must adhere to biblical standards of character, confidentiality, and ethical behavior.
Ministry conduct must reflect Christlike integrity, including honesty, humility, accountability, and sensitivity to cultural and congregational contexts.
Sexual misconduct, abuse of authority, or any behavior that undermines the witness of the church will result in immediate disciplinary review and possible removal from ministry placements and expulsion.
Students are expected to uphold denominational, local church, and seminary policies while representing the Replum Institute in all ministry and public settings.
