TERM 4: Certificate Course Description

  • 2 min read
TERM 4 (120 Credit Hours Cumulative)

This final term brings theological study to its intended end by integrating doctrine, history, and ministry practice. Emphasis is placed on the doctrine of last things, the nature and mission of the church, God’s sovereign rule over history, and the pastoral application of theology in preaching and leadership. The term culminates in supervised integration and assessment, demonstrating readiness for ordained ministry, advanced academic study, or sustained service within the church.

The organization of courses into terms and semesters follows a deliberate progression that mirrors a student’s growth from foundational knowledge to advanced ministerial preparation. The first term introduces the basics of Christian studies, including Scripture, biblical history, and hermeneutics, establishing a solid foundation for understanding God’s Word. The second term builds on this foundation with systematic theology, doctrinal studies, and church history, equipping students with a deeper comprehension of core beliefs and the historical context of the faith. The third term transitions into advanced theological exploration, focusing on Christ, man, sin, salvation, and the spiritual realm, preparing students for more specialized ministry roles and theological reflection. Finally, the fourth term integrates practical ministry, pastoral training, and advanced doctrinal studies, combining supervised practicum and pastoral integration to fully prepare students for leadership, licensure, or further graduate study.

Each term is divided into two semesters, allowing for manageable workloads while ensuring a logical, sequential acquisition of knowledge and skills that correspond to the four tiers of certificates, from foundational to professional-level education.
