TERM 3: Certificate Course Description
- Feb 6
- 2 min read

The organization of courses into terms and semesters follows a deliberate progression that mirrors a student’s growth from foundational knowledge to advanced ministerial preparation. The first term introduces the basics of Christian studies, including Scripture, biblical history, and hermeneutics, establishing a solid foundation for understanding God’s Word. The second term builds on this foundation with systematic theology, doctrinal studies, and church history, equipping students with a deeper comprehension of core beliefs and the historical context of the faith. The third term transitions into advanced theological exploration, focusing on Christ, man, sin, salvation, and the spiritual realm, preparing students for more specialized ministry roles and theological reflection. Finally, the fourth term integrates practical ministry, pastoral training, and advanced doctrinal studies, combining supervised practicum and pastoral integration to fully prepare students for leadership, licensure, or further graduate study.
Each term is divided into two semesters, allowing for manageable workloads while ensuring a logical, sequential acquisition of knowledge and skills that correspond to the four tiers of certificates, from foundational to professional-level education.

Each certificate tier is designed to correspond with both academic depth and ministerial readiness, building sequentially to prepare students for increasingly responsible roles in the church. The foundational 30-credit certificate provides a strong introduction to Scripture and theology, ideal for those exploring ministry or lay leadership. The 60-credit associate-level certificate develops a broader understanding of biblical doctrine and practical application, preparing students for active service and leadership in local congregations. The 90-credit ministerial diploma equips students with advanced theological, doctrinal, and pastoral knowledge, suitable for preaching, teaching, and mid-level ministry positions. Finally, the 120-credit bachelor’s-level program offers comprehensive seminary-level education, integrating advanced theology, ministry practicum, and pastoral leadership preparation, making graduates ready for senior pastoral roles, licensure, or further doctoral study.
