Sports Event Evangelism
In 2024 we had the privilege of serving the Lord alongside SEE for the first time in Paris, France for the 2024 Olympic Games. While there, our team of 60+ individuals handed out over 50,000 devotional booklets to 135 nations of the world. In October of 2024, we took on a leadership position in this ministry, helping to plan and form small groups to serve with us at future events. Some of these include the following:
2026 Soccer World Cup in Mexico, United States, and Canada
2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California
For more information on how you can get involved, feel free to contact us via the contact information at the bottom of this page, or visit the SEE website here

Go Initiative
The Go Initiative was created shortly after our trip with SEE to the Olympic Games in July of 2024. It is a short-term mission program that seeks to give everyday people the opportunity to serve on the mission field. Our trips range from international to domestic, with ministry opportunities in teen camps, children's ministries, disaster relief, construction, sports ministry and more. Stay tuned for more information on upcoming trips below or contact us via the information on the bottom of this page for more information.
Upcoming trips in the United States
December 8-11, 2024 we will be sending a team of twenty-five people to package and send out boxes for Operation Christmas Child in Aurora, Illinois. The only cost will be for lodging and any food you may need. If interested, contact Hanna Shields at hanna.shields@abwego.org.

abwe australia
Hanna's love for Australia began long before her call to missions. Her father having been an exchange student there in high school, she had heard stories about it her entire life. So, when she went as a missionary intern in 2019, the stage had already been set. That same year, a few months before our marriage, Trenton surrendered his life to serving the Lord on the mission field, and the rest, they say, is history.
In March of 2021, we were appointed as missionaries on pre-field preparing to serve in Australia and have since visited twice on short-term trips where we helped out in local churches, learned the different avenues of ministry in the country, and built life-long relationships. Our journey to the Land Down Under continues as we seek to raise support to return full-time in the future.
For more information on our heart for the Australian people, feel free to read an article written on the subject by ABWE here.
