BIO

Bruce A. Shields was born in Flint, Michigan, in 1969, the first son of Bruce and Lynnette Kennedy Shields. He released his first book in 2008, a technical guide for reducing energy consumption in the home. His second book, Heaven & Hell, was released a few months later. This theological book is about the various usages of the words heaven and hell within the Bible. In 2010, he wrote the HOFC Minister's Manual while teaching seminary at the House of Faith Church. This guide aided ministers in the ordinances of the Christian Church. Later that same year, he released Pandemic Dawn, a science fiction novel that would be the first in a post-apocalyptic series by the same name. Since 2006, he has written over 800 theological papers and continues to add to this list, as well as write novels and books on faith.

Bruce lives in Northern Michigan with his wife, Terri Shields, where he serves as senior pastor of the House of Faith Church and president of the Iosco Ministerial Association and continues to write.

What kind of schooling or work have you done in the past?

Bruce graduated in 1988, taking two years in Robotics and CAD at the Genesee Area Skill Center before enrolling in the Programming Systems Institute of Technology. After various jobs in the automotive industry, Bruce attended Dayspring Bible Institute, receiving his minister's license in Theological studies. In 2002, Bruce and his wife Terri started a ministry for helping those in need with food, clothing, etc., and aid in missions worldwide. Bruce served as an Elder in the First Baptist Church, later serving as Interim Pastor for two years. Bruce and Terri opened a non-denominational church in 2006, The House of Faith, where Bruce serves as Senior Pastor. Bruce wrote his first science fiction novel, Pandemic Dawn, in 2010 and three additional novels in the series since. He currently has multiple books in the works, including Christian manuscripts and various works of fiction.
