The Chimera Legion 

The Chimera Legion is a nightmarish battalion of alchemically engineered hybrids created by The Fractured Obsidian Society to serve as living weapons. Each member is a grotesque fusion of human, animal, and monstrous traits, combining the strength of beasts, the cunning of men, and unnatural abilities born of alchemical tampering.

These abominations vary in form: some have the wings of birds or bats, others bear the claws of predators, and a few display serpentine tails or grotesque, scaled skin. Their eyes often glow with a sickly green hue, a telltale sign of the alchemical elixirs coursing through their veins.

The Chimera Legion is deployed as shock troops or assassins, sowing terror on the battlefield and overwhelming opponents through sheer ferocity. However, they are not entirely loyal and sometimes turn on their creators, driven mad by their tortured existence.

Over the last month I have been working on developing a new gaming system for an RPG idea of mine. I wanted to create a way people could do more than just read my books, I wanted them to be able to play them as well if they wanted as a character from the story.

I loved the Choose Your Own Adventure books when I was a kid, and always wished they gave you more options than just a couple of choices. I was reading once and the story brought you to a place where there was something scary just on the other side of the brush. The options were run away, or hide. I wanted to jump into the brush and see what it was!

I just want to write a quick note to explain the various groups for the Modified Gaming System. This is the MAIN group for players and Gossip Mongers to chat, and get free resources for playing and building their own Adventure Modules.

The other two groups are for BETA Testers to work out the game mechanics and track the version numbers. The BETA testing is locked so only testers can go there. Anyone can check out the version notes and see what was changed or fixed since the last version. Kind of boring if you ask me.

Anyway, welcome to the group and enjoy the game and all of the free resources which will be coming soon! We have to complete the basic rules before we can start adding resources.
