Advance Reader Copy of Losing Dani Strumm Drawing in Two Weeks!

Losing Dani Strumm by B. A. Shields

I am excited about the upcoming drawing for the advanced reader copy of my latest novel, Losing Dani strum.

You would think that after writing eight books, you would get used to this part. However, I have not. I can hardly wait for Losing Dani Strumm to be released! I have fallen in love with the story since I started writing it two years ago.

The inspiration came from an article about a young girl who, despite being homeless and just a teen, finished school and went to college, working and paying her way through to graduation. I imagined how great it would be to see someone like this fight through the troubles in life to accomplish their lifelong dream regardless of the obstacles.

This is Dani. Here are the details of my upcoming novel, and then I will tell you how you can get in on the drawing for a complimentary ARC copy of Losing Dani Strumm.

Dani dreamed of discovering life in outer space since she was a child. But, an accident leaves her stranded on an unexplored planet, forcing her to abandon the only life she ever knew back on Earth. She never imagined her heart's genuine desire could only be found amongst the stars and ashes of the life she once knew.
Dani was a natural in school. Her only distraction was an absent mother and her suicidal brother, whom she felt overly protective. Maybe because she assumed the role when her mother abandoned them, or perhaps it was just her nurturing way.
She worked hard after graduating, joining the military to expedite her acceptance and training in the Institute, which almost guaranteed her entrance into the New Earth Corps.
The New Earth Corps is where she would set her sights on a once-in-a-lifetime mission to Tau Ceti e, the nearest Earth-like planet, where she would become the first woman explorer in deep space.
The mission was only possible once every 60 years because of the strange elliptical orbit of Tau Ceti e, which made it impossible to reach more than once in a person's lifetime. However, modern technology did allow humankind to get to the edge of the planet's orbit every 60 years for approximately three months. Dani aspired to travel this great distance to carry out this dangerous and previously failed mission. Unfortunately, the last mission team was never heard from after a scouting trip to the planet 60 years earlier.
Her job was a simple one. Release scientific orbital satellites around Tau Ceti e to gather important information for team two, which would form a landing and exploration party.
After releasing the second satellite, something went horribly wrong.
Dani would find herself scrambling for the emergency escape pod to flee a dying ship. Within minutes she would find herself on an alien planet with two weeks of supplies, two days of oxygen, injured, and her rescue nearly two months away.
Losing Dani Strumm is an explorational story of self-discovery and a compelling and surprising tale of forgiveness. It's about love, luck, fate, and a complex woman who discovers her lifelong dream is not what she thought it to be.

I will randomly draw names (YES! Plural!) as I always do from those who have subscribed to my website.

There are a few great things about subscribing to my website. Firstly, I only send emails out when there is a new drawing, book, or book signing appearance. So a few emails each year, not spammy at all.

Secondly, once you have subscribed to my website, you will be forever entered automatically in all my future drawings. No need to do anything. I did it this way because I had always hated when you had to register over and over for drawings. Once and done, unless you unsubscribe, then your name is removed from our database.

Lastly, I know no one ever reads the privacy statements on websites, but I clearly state and will tell you now when I say free, I mean it. Winners of my contests and drawings never have to pay for anything, not even shipping! So rest assured, this is no scheme to say you won something and then charge you a bunch of money for shipping because I hate that too.

So if you have EVER subscribed to my website, you are already in the drawing. If you have never subscribed, click the button below and do so!

I will be drawing the names on DECEMBER 1st, 2022

I will send an email out to all the subscribers revealing the winners. I will also contact the winners individually by email with instructions on the ARC and reviews.

Thank you to all my readers, subscribers, and those who have followed me and read my books over the years!
